Beyoncé is giving fans an unprecedented look inside her pre-Coachella diet -- and, even though she followed a strict plan, it's something that anyone can do.
In a video shared in collaboration with 22 Days Nutrition, the singer weighs herself on "day one of rehearsals" ahead of her performance at Coachella 2018. She calls stepping onto the scale "every woman's nightmare" before revealing that she weighs 175 pounds with a "long way to go" before she's in performance shape.
Beyoncé's weight loss journey came after the birth of her twins, Rumi and Sir, whose arrival pushed back her Coachella performance, which was originally slated for the 2017 music festival, because she "unexpectedly" got pregnant.
"I'm back on the stage after giving birth to twins," she said in the clip. "I was a woman that felt like my body was not mine."
The video also features 22 Days Nutrition founder Marco Borges, who details the "100 percent plant-based" diet that Beyoncé followed in preparation for her groundbreaking Coachella appearance.
Borges explained that during the 22-day meal plan, which Beyoncé actually followed for 44 days herself, people experience higher energy, better moods, more sleep and improved complexion. He added that "it's a move towards making healthier choices." The best-selling author's nutrition plan is based around the common assumption that it takes 21 days to break a habit, so on the 22nd day, users have actually started new, healthier habits of their own.
While the duo of Beyoncé and Borges is offering her fans a special access offer to the 22 Days Meal Planner, the company also has a on of easy-to-get products available to anyone on Amazon that can help them kickstart change in their lives.
