'The Honeymooners' star Joyce Randolph: Then and now

More than half a century after "The Honeymooners" premiered on CBS in 1955, just one member of the original quartet is still with us today: The lovely Joyce Randolph.

She's now 94 years old, but Randolph, a Detroit native, was a newcomer on the acting circuit when Jackie Gleason took notice of her. After spotting Randolph in a Clorets chewing gum commercial, he asked her to appear in a skit on his variety show, "Cavalcade of Stars." Not long later, he selected her to play Trixie Norton in "The Honeymooners."

Gleason died in 1987, marking the first loss of the show's famed quartet. Art Carney, who played Ed Norton, died in 2003, and Audrey Meadows, who played Alice Kramden, passed in 1996.

One unexpected tidbit about Randolph: She tied the knot just one day after "The Honeymooners" premiered on TV! Her husband was a prominent marketing executive, and their son would later follow in his dad's career footsteps.

"The Honeymooners" inspired a 2005 comedy film of the same name, and in 2016, there was chatter about a reboot headed to CBS. However, it appears the project has stalled.
