Gwyneth Paltrow spotted hanging in the Hamptons with a royal — but it wasn't Kate or Meghan

Meghan Markle chatted with Beyonce at the "Lion King" premiere, but she wasn't the only royal enjoying one-on-one celebrity conversations last weekend.

Princess Märtha Louise of Norway, 47, posted a smiley selfie with Gwyneth Paltrow, 46, on Instagram this week, referring to the actress as her "new friend." The ladies were soaking up the sun somewhere in the Hamptons.

"Meeting amazing people that make us grow is such a gift of life, don’t you think?" the Princess mused.

Although they hadn't met before, Märtha Louise has a close mutual connection with Paltrow: Her boyfriend, Shaman Durek, is Paltrow's longtime spiritual adviser.

Durek commented on the photo, "I'm so happy my loves have met finally."

The Princess is fourth in line of succession to the Norwegian throne after her brother and his children. Her parents are the reigning King and Queen.
