Team USA wins 2019 Women's World Cup: Stars react!

A fourth World Cup for the U.S. Soccer Women's National Team!

Team USA beat the Netherlands 2-0 on Sunday to capture the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup title, with goals scored by Megan Rapinoe and Rose Lavelle in the second half of the game.

Following the widely-watched victory, celebrities took to social media to congratulate the team, with many using the opportunity to once again call for equal pay between the Men's and Women's World Cup tournaments.

Ellen DeGeneres, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bette Midler, Mandy Moore and Leslie Jones were among the celebrities to take to social media after the win, while Barack and Michelle Obama, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren were among the political figures to congratulate Team USA.

Billie Jean King, Serena Williams, Catt Sadler and Regina King were some of the famous faces who used the moment to both commend the team and call attention to the disparity between the prize money that male and female World Cup players are given.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino had previously announced that prize money for the 2023 Women's World Cup would be doubled to a total of $60 million, which is less than a seventh of the $440 million prize money to be handed out at the 2022 Mens's World Cup in Qatar.
