Who was Meghan Markle with at Wimbledon? College friends Lindsay Roth and Genevieve Hillis were by her side

Being friends with the Duchess of Sussex has its perks.

Meghan Markle arrived at Wimbledon on Thursday, July 3, with two longtime friends by her side. Two months after giving birth to son Archie, the 37-year-old looked happy and healthy as she chatted with two blonde pals through the duration of her time in the stands. So who were they? Markle was seated comfortably between two close friends she's known since her college days at Northwestern University — and some insiders believe they'll be named godmothers to baby Archie.

Wearing a green patterned dress was Genevieve Hillis, one of the Duchess of Sussex's Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority sisters. Hillis helped Serena Williams organize Markle's lavish baby shower in New York City in February 2019.

On the Duchess' other side, wearing a refined navy number, was Lindsay Roth. The two met in a literature class when Markle was a freshman, and years later, she would serve as Maid of Honor for Roth's wedding. She was responsible for planning an incredible Greek islands bachelorette party that she detailed on her now-shuttered lifestyle blog, "The Tig," and she even flew her BFF to Toronto for a private wedding gown fitting. (The New York Times wrote about it, and that was well before Markle became a household name!)

Roth is a published author and a TV producer, according to her Instagram bio.

The ladies reportedly made the cut for Archie's very intimate christening ceremony on July 6. Only 25 people will be in attendance.
