Gwyneth Paltrow’s ‘Avengers’ co-star Sebastian Stan says she has no clue who he is

Updated

It’s not easy to make a lasting impression on Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress has co-started alongside Sebastian Stan in multiple Marvel superhero films, but according to Stan, he recently had to remind her that they’ve crossed paths (to say the least!). The two were both in attendance at the Valentino couture show in Paris, and they were photographed together in a group shot that Stan later posted on Instagram.

After describing the event, Stan added in his caption, “Also glad I got to reintroduce myself to Gwyneth Paltrow for the third time. We are in the same film...”

To be fair, while Stan and Paltrow are most certainly co-stars, the Marvel universe cast is quite big, and they’ve shared few scenes. Stan hails from “Captain America,” while Paltrow’s character usually only appears alongside Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man.

Both actors joined the franchise more than a decade ago, and while Paltrow’s confirmed that her time as Pepper Potts has come to an end, that’s less clear for Stan’s Bucky Barnes, even though Chris Evans’ Captain America has said farewell.

Paltrow was caught in a similarly awkward situation a few weeks ago, when she forgot she'd ever worked with Tom Holland in his "Spiderman" films.
