Stella Stevens then and now: See the 'Courtship of Eddie's Father' star and Playboy model through the years

Updated

Few stars of the 20th century have as many career successes under their belts as Stella Stevens.

After taking home a Golden Globe in 1960 for New Star of the Year, the multitalented actress starred in several of the biggest films of the decade, including "The Courtship of Eddie's Father," "The Nutty Professor," and the Elvis Presley flick "Girls! Girls! Girls!" Her star continued to shine on the smaller screen with roles on "Bonanza," "The Love Boat" and "Murder, She Wrote."

The Mississippi-born beauty posed for three Playboy spreads, even tacking Playmate of the Month to her resume, and as if all of that weren't enough, Stevens enjoyed a blossoming singing career as part of a vocal ensemble that recorded the beloved theme songs for "The Flintstones" and "The Patty Duke Show."

Toward the second half of the 1970s, Stevens realized she wanted access quieter lifestyle, opting to buy a Washington ranch in close distance to a mountain range, and she reportedly opened a bakery and an art gallery.

However, she still kept her Los Angeles home, which she first bought in 1965, until 2015. (Fifty years!) According to an LA Times writeup, she resided in the home with longtime beau Bob Kulick, a Grammy-winning record producer.

Stevens is now 81 years old.
