Ivanka Trump faces backlash after praising Kim Kardashian for her advocacy work: 'No qualifications whatsoever'

Kim Kardashian returned to the White House on Thursday to announce a new partnership to help integrate formerly incarcerated people back into the workforce. And it seems like Ivanka Trump just might be the reality star turned activist’s biggest fan.

The first daughter and senior adviser to the president took to her Instagram on Friday morning to share pictures of the two women sitting beside one another during the presentation. She also expressed her gratitude to Kardashian for her “passionate advocacy of Criminal Justice Reform and Second Chance hiring.” But some of Trump’s followers have taken issue with Kardashian’s seemingly sudden involvement in politics.

“We should be keeping unprofessional and uneducated people out of The White House, who have no qualifications whatsoever, aka Kim Kardashian,” one person wrote.

“Please don't allow any Kardashian into politics. That family is a big joke,” commented another.

Still, others decided to praise Kardashian for taking initiative on political matters. Some have even said it’s what “celebrities should do.”

“Instead of running her mouth, she educates herself and puts things into action,” someone wrote. “I cannot stand this family but I must give credit where credit is due.”

“It hurts me that people can’t look past who she is to see the good she is trying to do,” added another commenter.

Many of Trump’s followers also commented on Kardashian’s look, saying that she looks “so polished.”

“Wow how elegant is Kim when she is well dressed!” someone wrote.

“Thank you Trump Family for getting her to put some clothes on,” another joked.
