NSYNC's Joey Fatone confirms divorce from wife of 15 years during appearance with longtime girlfriend

NSYNC member Joey Fatone confirmed this week that he and his wife of nearly 15 years are divorcing.

“I was, at one point, married, and now I am separated, going through a divorce," Fatone told Us Weekly at the Critics’ Choice Real TV Awards. By his side at the event was longtime girlfriend Izabel Araujo, who he reportedly began dating in 2014.

The ex-couple has been separated for some time, but Fatone, 42, had not previously publicly addressed the split.

Fatone and Baldwin wed in 2004, tying the knot after nearly a decade of on-and-off dating. In 2013, reports circulated that the two were heading for divorce, and Fatone acknowledged that the claims were causing him stress: "I'm deeply upset about that," he said at the time, adding that he and his wife were "fine" and "still married ... kids are great."

Fatone and Baldwin share 18-year-old Briahna and 9-year-old Kloey.

Fatone's girlfriend has been by his side at numerous red carpet events in recent years. In May, she shared a sweet photo from Briahna's high school graduation, and there appears to be no bad blood within the family: Both Araujo and Baldwin appear in one of the smiling snapshots.

"Congrats B!!!" she wrote. "We're all very proud of you!"

Fatone and his ex first started dating as teenagers in Orlando in the 1990s. At the time, Fatone was working as a performer at Universal Studios, which is where he met Chris Kirkpatrick, leading to the birth of NSYNC. Years later, he would name fellow bandmate Lance Bass godfather of his two daughters.
