'Queer Eye' star Jonathan Van Ness' tips for making your summer more gorgeous (Exclusive)

"Queer Eye" star Jonathan Van Ness wants you to have a gorgeous summer -- and he has some tips on how to do so!

JVN has made a career off of making self-care, grooming and beauty tips easy and digestible for the masses, and he has a couple of go-to suggestions for anyone traveling this summer and hoping to beat some of the insufferable summer heat.

"Anything that’s self-care related that takes some of the edge off from the heat is gorgeous," Van Ness told AOL during a recent interview. "One of my classics is just to take yourself to the grocery store and get some peppermint oil, and you can dab that on the back of your neck and it just gives you a gorgeous little winter chill, even in the heat of the summer!"

Van Ness has never been shy about talking about things that other people perhaps might not want to talk about, which is makes his next tip that much more refreshing.

"Another thing is that Charmin makes a gorgeous wet wipe," he explained. "A wet wipe for our gorgeous bum bums is a gift in the summer!"

When you're on the go during the hottest months of the year, the Netflix star also suggests bringing face masks and eye patches on any fun weekend trips that you have planned -- especially if there's going to be drinking or partying with friends involved!

"I always love to bring stuff like little masks when I’m on a vacation, too," he told AOL. "It’s always something that friends love to use, and I like to throw in some masks or eye patches in case anyone had so much fun and your face is a little dehydrated."
