Ellen DeGeneres scares Melissa McCarthy with Billie Eilish surprise: Watch!

Nobody pulls off a surprise like Ellen DeGeneres!

On "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" this week, the talk show host welcomed "The Kitchen" stars Melissa McCarthy, Elisabeth Moss and Tiffany Haddish on for a group interview, during which DeGeneres pranked McCarthy.

After playing McCarthy's spoof of Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" music video, which she took part in because she's a superfan of the 17-year-old singer, DeGeneres was in the middle of asking if she had heard from Eilish since the video had been released when Eilish herself popped out of the side table right next to McCarthy.

The surprise appearance prompted a terrified scream from McCarthy and shocked looks from Haddish and Moss before McCarthy and Eilish shared a comforting hug.

"What if you knocked me out?!" McCarthy laughed. "I'm still weirdly [shaking]. You're just not supposed to experience that."

In addition to simply loving Eilish's music, McCarthy shares an even deeper connection to the wildly popular teen singer, revealing on "Ellen" that her mother, Maggie Baird, was her "first improv teacher."

Earlier this year, while guest hosting on the talk show, the Oscar-nominated actress revealed her love for the songstress.

"I love her, I’m completely obsessed with her, we listen to her all the time," she said of her family. "In fact, if you don’t like her, just get up and get out."
