"It's live!"

Jamie Foxx unintentionally stole the show on ABC's one-off "Live in Front of a Studio Audience" special on Wednesday night, which brought together some big names to recreate iconic sitcoms "The Jeffersons" and "All in the Family."

It was when delivering a joke that Foxx stumbled over his lines and hilariously broke character, resulting in the night's most viral moment.

"Ever since I was a little boy, I would always beg my mother for a little brother," he was supposed to say. "But, you know, we were broke, so all we could afford was you."

Instead of delivering the punchline, though, Foxx flubbed the line and paused before saying, "It's live! Everyone sitting at home just think their TV just messed up!"

In addition to garnering laughter from the live studio audience, Foxx's gaffe also prompted smirks from his star-studded co-stars Ellie Kemper, Ike Barinholtz and Anthony Anderson, who he was addressing when delivering the line. Also in the scene were Wanda Sykes and Marisa Tomei, who maintained their composure during the funny moment.

Other stars who took part included Kerry Washington, Woody Harrelson, Will Ferrell and Sean Hayes. Harrelson also struggled to keep it together during the special and often broke out into fits of laughter. Marla Gibbs, an original "Jeffersons" cast member, made an appearance, too.

The one-off special was co-hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and original producer of "All in the Family" and "The Jeffersons," Norman Lear.
