'It's Creepy!' Kelly Ripa shares why she's disgusted by 'The Bachelorette'

Bachelor Nation has many famous fans — but Kelly Ripa is not one of them! The All My Children alum made her feelings about the hit reality dating show clear during the Tuesday, May 14, episode of Live With Kelly and Ryan.

Ripa, 48, shared her disdain toward what the show stands for after Ryan Seacrest, 44, revealed that the newest Bachelorette, Hannah Brown, will be on their morning talk show this week.

“Oh, it’s an entirely different person?” she asked after sharing that she thought Colton Underwood’s girlfriend, Cassie Randolph, became the Bachelorette after they didn’t get engaged last season, proving she really doesn’t watch. “You guys, you know how I feel about the show, it disgusts me.”

Ripa went on to explain her feelings: “I can’t stand the idea of 25 exceptional women fighting over one ordinary fella, in my opinion. You know how I feel, ladies, we are too special to be arguing over a guy.”

Though the audience erupted in applause, the former soap star then jokingly called those in attendance out for tuning in to The Bachelor and The Bachelorette each season. “Having said that,” she continued. “All of you women watch that gross, gross show.”

While the American Idol host went on to recap the Monday, May 13, premiere of Hannah B.’s season, Ripa got less and less interested as Seacrest describe each of the 24-year-old Alabama native’s suitors. Ripa added that “it’s all creepy” and noted that she thinks The Bachelorette is “just as creepy” as The Bachelor.

Brown — who originally appeared on season 23 of the original series, where she vied for the heart of Underwood, 27 — met her men on the Monday night episode, and there was one man who sent Twitter into overdrive.

Peter Webera.k.a Peter the Pilot — won the hearts of viewers within the first two hours of the show. “Not to be dramatic but i’m already in love with peter the pilot #TheBachelorette,” one person wrote with hundreds of others echoing the same sentiment.

The Bachelorette airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
