Met Gala 2019: Gwyneth Paltrow makes her Met Gala return

Updated

Never say never!

Gwyneth Paltrow made her return to the steps of The Metropolitan Museum of Art after 2 years of absence. The Goop founder famously vowed that she would "never" return to the charity affair.

"I'm never going again. It was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded.I did not enjoy it at all," Paltrow told USA Today in 2013. Days later she appeared on an Australian radio show noting, "you always think: 'Oh my god. This is going to be so glamorous and amazing and you're going to see all these people. And then you're there, and it's so hot. It's so crowded. Everyone's pushing you. This year it was really intense. It wasn't fun.”

Well, everyones entitled to a change of heart, and this year the 46-year-old actress stunned in a dusty yellow Chloé gown, although not totally on the "Campy" theme. Paltrow walked the carpet with Chloé's creative director, Natacha Ramsay-Levi.

She last attended the Gala in 2017, wearing a fiji pink Calvin Klein sequin cocktail dress.

Prior to the "Camp" themed event, Paltrow stepped out with husband Brad Falchuk to attend Anna Wintour's Pre-Met Gala dinner hosted at her New York City town house.
