Prince Harry postpones Amsterdam trip as royal baby wait continues

A change of plans for Prince Harry.

The rep for the Duke of Sussex announced on Friday that Harry's planned trip to Amsterdam next Wednesday, May 8, has been postponed for logistical reasons as the wait for the royal baby continues.

"Due to the logistical planning for the traveling press to cover visits and engagements by The Royal Family, we have taken the decision to postpone The Duke of Sussex’s scheduled visit to Amsterdam on Wednesday 8th May 2019," the statement read. "The Duke is currently scheduled to travel to The Hague on Thursday 9th May for the launch of the Invictus Games The Hague 2020 as planned."

The conflicts come with Prince Charles and Camilla's scheduled trip to Germany from May 7 - 10, as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton's trip to North Wales on May 8.

Harry's last-minute trip was just announced two days ago, which led many royal watchers to believe that his wife, Meghan Markle, is expected to give birth in the week between the announcement and Harry's trip, despite rumors online that she's secretly already welcomed their first child.

However, Buckingham Palace told CBS News on Thursday morning that the baby "hasn't been born yet."

Harry and Meghan announced a month ago that they won't likely be announcing the arrival of their baby right away and won't be making a public debut with the royal baby like Kate and William did with their three children.

Meghan is expected to give birth "any day" now.
