Johnny Galecki, 43, expecting first child with girlfriend Alaina Meyer, 21

Johnny Galecki is going to be a dad!

The 43-year-old "Big Bang Theory" actor and girlfriend, Alaina Meyer, 21, confirmed to People on Friday that they're expecting their first child together seven months after confirming their relationship in September 2018.

"We are absolutely over the moon to announce that we will soon be welcoming a little one into this crazy and wonderful world," the couple said in a joint statement to People. "We ask that you please respect our privacy during this celebratory time for us and our families. There truly is love out there for all. We hope ours is the ember of yours, as we feel yours is the ember of ours."

The couple made their red carpet debut at E!'s People's Choice Awards 2018 in November, two months after going public with their relationship. One month later, they shut down engagement rumors.

As Galecki starts preparing for fatherhood, he is also gearing up for the series finale of his long-running CBS hit, "The Big Bang Theory," later this month.
