Kelly Clarkson just dispelled those Carrie Underwood feud rumors with one hilarious tweet

Kelly Clarkson took to Twitter on Thursday to dispel any claims that she's feuding with fellow "American Idol" champ, Carrie Underwood. The singer tweeted a photo of the most recent issue of Star magazine, which claims that Carrie and Kelly's "secret feud explodes" after they were "trashing each other to friends." The cover adds that "Carrie doesn't know who she's messing with" and that Reba McEntire was "forced to step in."

The "Since U Been Gone" hitmaker had some fun with the tabloid's outrageous claims, calling them out for "lying" and using an unflattering photo of her for the cover.

"Someone just sent me this & I’m like why does she get the good pic & I have the worst expression I’ve ever made w/zero muscles being used in my face ha!" she tweeted. "I officially have a feud w/whoever used this pic! At least give me a good pic if y’all are gonna be lying is all I’m sayin'."

When one fan responded by saying that "Carrie didn't get a bad pic because there is no bad pic of Carrie," the coach on "The Voice" laughed and said, "touché."

"Well, I have PLENTY of rough ones ha!" she added. "But I guess it builds character and keeps me humble. This is what I tell myself."

This isn't the first time that Clarkson has addressed the long-burning rumors that she and Underwood are feuding. At the 2018 Radio Disney Awards last June, the singer posed with Underwood on the red carpet and explained that she did so in order to dispel such allegations.

"Everybody always tries to pit me and Carrie against each other," she told ET at the time. "So, when I saw her I was like, ‘You know what? Let’s just end this right now and get a picture together because we are never in the same place.' And, like, it never happens. And people always try to put it together like we’re enemies. And I’m like, ‘We don’t even know each other well enough to be enemies.' So, anyway, I went to get a picture and then everybody lost their mind."

Clarkson won the first season of "American Idol" over Justin Guarini back in 2002, while Underwood won the fourth season over Bo Bice in 2005.
