Bethenny Frankel gives 'some hints' about shows in development with Mark Burnett (Exclusive)

Bethenny Frankel has some exciting new projects in the works with Mark Burnett, the mega-producer behind shows like "The Apprentice," "Survivor" and "Shark Tank."

News of Frankel's multi-year deal with MGM Worldwide Television Group, for which Burnett serves as Chairman, broke back in March and, during her appearance at the opening of the Godiva Café in Midtown, New York City, Frankel shared some exclusive details with AOL's Gibson Johns about the shows she has in development as part of the deal.

"Right now, we have about three shows we’re about to go out with and I would be part of at least one of them. One for sure," Frankel said. "They all are female-centric, not just because it’s something that’s speaking to me but because it’s something that I understand. I understand women and the issues they go through: fertility, relationships, divorce, career, small businesses, passion projects."

"Those are some hints," she added with a smile.

Frankel, who stars on "The Real Housewives of New York City" and runs her ever-expanding Skinnygirl empire, already has some production experience under her belt, having produced Bravo spinoff shows like "Bethenny & Fredrik" and "Bethenny Ever After," and she's utilizing learnings from overseeing those shows into her new projects.

"I learned that I understand human behavior and comedy and communicating a message while being streamlined and lean about it," she told AOL.

Frankel and Burnett's paths have crossed no less than twice in the past, as Frankel got her start in unscripted television as a contestant on "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" in 2005 and she later joined "Shark Tank" as one of the investors alongside the likes of Mark Cuban and Barbara Corcoran.

Part of the reason that Frankel was at the Godiva Café opening on Wednesday evening was because she sees some similarities between the Godiva brand and her own brand, Skinnygirl.

"I love the brand Godiva, I love that it’s a privately-owned business, I love that they’re expanding and getting into cafes and they’re always changing. They control the brand, which I understand very much," she explained to us. "It’s about luxury and decadence, and I have a brand called Skinnygirl, which is all about allowing and learning how to indulge and not deprive. I’ve worked with them before, and I think [the Godiva Café] is going to be a great destination. It’s quintessentially New York. There’s always an occasion for chocolate!"
