Tim Tebow pens tribute to Chip and Joanna Gaines for Time 100 list: 'Grounded in a strong faith'

After Chip and Joanna Gaines were tapped for the Time 100 list of most influential people in the world, the perfect person stepped up to write a short tribute: Tim Tebow.

Calling Chip and Jo "incredible people with incredible hearts," Tebow wrote that the couple is "grounded in a strong faith, which keeps them focused on what truly matters in life."

"People matter. Loving people matters," the former NFL quarterback continued. "And Jo and Chip are amazing at loving people."

Tebow also cited a "Fixer Upper" episode he filmed with the Gaines, during which the team worked to make a home both chic and comfortable for a families with disabilities. His own foundation hosts the annual Night to Shine gala, a prom-style event for people with special needs.

"On 'Fixer Upper,' when I helped Jo and Chip build an accessible home for a family with two children in wheelchairs, I saw firsthand the genuine passion they have for making a difference in people’s lives," Tebow said.

Although their HGTV show has come to an end, there are only bigger things to come for the Gaines family: In addition to books, home goods and other products, their new Magnolia cable channel will soon hit the air.

Tebow is currently an outfielder for the New York Mets. Earlier this year, he announced his engagement to former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
