Trivago pitchman busted for DWI in Houston, say cops

Cops just pinched the Trivago pitchman.

Timothy Williams, the handsome, easygoing peddler for the Internet-based lodging and travel company, was busted in Houston for driving while intoxicated.

“He was passed out with his foot on the brake in a moving lane of traffic,” said Houston Police spokesman Jodi Silva.

The Houston Police Department reported Williams, who according to his Internet Movie Database biography was born in Houston, was unconscious behind the wheel Wednesday afternoon.

Williams, 52, reportedly failed a sobriety test and acceded to a blood draw to test for alcohol, reported the Houston Chronicle on Thursday. He was ordered to undergo a mental health or intellectual disability assessment and was released after posting $100 bond.

"Trivago treats such incidents very seriously and strongly condemns drinking and driving which poses a risk to others and goes against the Trivago culture, a company spokesman told People.

Williams is expected back in court on April 17.
