Matt Lauer makes rare outing for Jeff Zucker’s birthday party

Matt Lauer is taking time to celebrate his friends.

The former "Today" anchor came out of the solitude of his Hamptons mansion to attend the birthday of his longtime friend and former CEO of NBC Universal, Jeff Zucker, at the McKittrick Hotel in New York City on Saturday.

Zucker, who is currently the chairman of WarnerMedia and president of CNN Worldwide, hosted his birthday at the Speakeasy Magick show, hosted by famous magician, Todd Robbins -- where his CNN colleague, Allison Gollust, also joined.

According to Page Six, Lauer had a “great time” and “a lot of laughs.”

Back in November of 2017, NBC News chairman Andy Lack broke the news to the NBC team in a letter, saying Lauer had been accused by a female colleague of “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace" and that they had "reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident."

Laur has since been laying low in the midst of his multimillion-dollar divorce settlement from Annette Roque.
