ACMs 2019: Carrie Underwood shares breast pumping selfie ahead of performance

Carrie Underwood had a much-needed night out at the 2019 ACM Awards on Sunday night, but that doesn't mean that she was totally off-duty less than three months after welcoming her second child, son Jacob.

The country star attended the show alongside husband Mike Fisher, making it their first big outing since becoming a family of four (they also share 4-year-old Isaiah).

Underwood looked gorgeous on the red carpet in a sparkling, asymmetrical black gown with her hair teased high, and on the red carpet, she hilariously told ET's Nancy O'Dell that she was "zipped so tight in this dress ... it's pushing things up to places where it doesn't normally go."

"My body is completely different than when it was a few months ago, and it’s always weird, kind of, to come back and [ask] ... do I still have it? Can I still sing?" Underwood explained. "Because I had an obstruction in this area for nine months, and now it’s gone. And it’s an adjustment period and it’s on the early side of me."

"It’s the ACMs, I had to come," she added. "I wanted to perform."

Underwood did indeed perform during the 54th annual awards show at the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, singing "I'm Standing With You" from Chrissy Metz's new film, "Breakthrough," alongside Metz, Mickey Guyton and Maddie & Tae.

Ahead of their performance, Underwood took to Instagram to share a selfie from her trailer in which she highlighted the realities of being a mom to an infant.

"Getting ready for my performance," she wrote. "Also pumping." She also added the hashtag #multitasking to the post.
