Meghan Markle is back on Instagram!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex launched their official Instagram account on Tuesday, serving as yet another step in the couple breaking off from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who they used to share the Kensington Royal Instagram account with.

"'Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues,'" the caption of their inaugural post reads. "'We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal.' - Harry & Meghan"

In addition to a chic monogram that combines the first letters of both of their names, the couple shared a slideshow of photos from their past year together at a variety of official royal engagements.

The launch of their official account comes about a year after the former "Suits" actress famously deleted her social media accounts and lifestyle blog, The Tig, before marrying Prince Harry last May.

Her best friend, Canadian stylist Jessica Mulroney, commented on the post with two heart emojis. Instagram's official account also commented on the post, writing, "Ummm... hello! Welcome. We are so happy you are here." Oprah Magazine, Glamour and Elle were also amount the biggest accounts to welcome the royal couple to the platform.

Meghan and Harry officially split their royal court off of Prince William and Kate Middleton's earlier this year as they prepare to move from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Castle in anticipation for their first child, due in late April.

Though the split is more of a formal separation due to the two couple's diverging levels of power and official responsibility (William is second in line to be king), a report claimed last month that the couple had wanted the separation to also represent "total royal freedom" for them, which Queen Elizabeth reportedly denied.

"They wanted their household to be entirely independent of Buckingham Palace, but were told 'no,'" a source told the Times of Meghan and Harry's new office, which is jointly funded by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles. "There is an institutional structure that doesn't allow that kind of independence. The feeling is that it's good to have the Sussexes under the jurisdiction of Buckingham Palace, so they can't just go off and do their own thing."

The report went on to detail the couple's alleged desire to create an international "Sussex brand" of philanthropy and humanitarianism, with Meghan in particular wanting to grow her own role as a humanitarian.
