Is Hailey Baldwin pregnant? Justin Bieber sparks speculation with April Fool's Day posts

UPDATE: Justin Bieber confirmed with a subsequent Instagram post that he was indeed pulling an April Fool's Day prank, posting a sonogram with a dog in the middle.

"Wait, omg is that a,,, APRIL FOOLS," he captioned the post.

Is Hailey Baldwin pregnant, or is the joke on us?

Justin Bieber took to Instagram on April Fool's Day on Monday to share a series of posts that seemed to imply that his wife, 22, is pregnant with their first child.

The first was a black-and-white photo of a sonogram without a caption, which had fans convinced that he was pulling a prank on his 107 million Instagram followers, despite captions from friends like Patrick Schwarzenegger and DJ Tay James that implied that they were already privy to the singer expecting a "baby boy."

The date on the sonogram is February 2, which would've been two months ago. The year of the sonogram is cut off. Because the length of the baby on the photo reads 8.3cm, fans pointed out that the baby likely wouldn't be that big yet. Additionally, fans performed a reverse Google Images search and found that a seemingly identical sonogram was a top match.

The follow-up post came 21 minutes later when Bieber posted three photos of his model wife seemingly getting a pregnancy checkup, surrounded by two gloved doctors -- one with her hands on her exposed stomach and one with his hands on her legs, which are covered in a sheet.

"If U thought it was April fools," he captioned the slideshow post.

At this point, it's unclear whether or not Justin and Hailey are expecting their first child together, but the posts come less than a week after a source told ET Online that the couple definitely wants kids, but seemingly wanted to be more settled before starting a family together.

"Justin and Hailey have talked about kids, and it’s a priority to them. They want to be in the right place before having them: having a home, being married and Justin being in a good mental state," the source said. "The couple wants a few kids and their friends wouldn’t be surprised if that happened soon."

The comments came after the 25-year-old singer clapped back at a fan saying he was only with Hailey to get back at his ex, Selena Gomez, in which he revealed that he wants to sort through his own issues before becoming a father.

"I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep-rooted issues that I have, as most of us have, so that I don't fall apart so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be," he explained. "Music is very important to me but nothing comes before my family and my health. I will come with a kick-a-- album ASAP."

Hailey has also expressed her desire to have children, telling Vogue Arabia last November that she can't wait to become a mother.

"I love kids, and I can’t wait to have my own," she said at the time. "I would say that now, that’s a closer reality."
