GLAAD Awards 2019: Beyoncé, Jay-Z, 'Queer Eye' cast and more stars attend

The 2019 GLAAD Media Awards brought together some of the biggest stars across the entertainment industry in Los Angeles on Thursday night to honor and recognize fair and inclusive representation of the LGBTQ community in the media.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z, who were honored with the Vanguard Award, stole the show with an poignant acceptance speech in which the "Love On Top" singer revealed that her uncle died of HIV. "Will & Grace" star Sean Hayes was also honored during the 30th annual ceremony with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award.

Ross Mathews hosted the show, while featured performances by Lizzo and Shangela and appearances by the likes of Gynwth Paltrow, the cast of Netflix's "Queer Eye," "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Erika Jayne and Allison Janney, among others.

Also in attendance on Thursday evening were Olivia Munn, Lea Michele, Adam Lambert, "Love, Simon" actors Josh Duhamel and Nick Robinson and Jameela Jamil.

Meghan Trainor stepped out with actress Chelsea Frei, Adam Rippon posed with boyfriend Jussi-Pekka Kajaala and "Crazy Rich Asians" actor Nico Santos held hands with his boyfriend, former "Survivor" contestant Zeke Smith, who became the show's first-ever trans contestant several seasons ago.

On May 4, a second GLAAD Media Awards ceremony will be held in New York City, where honorees include Andy Cohen and Madonna.
