Did Jennifer Lopez expect Alex Rodriguez to propose?
Stars are reeling over Alex Rodriguez proposing to girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.
Following the couple's Saturday night announcement that they're engaged two years into their relationship, celebrities came out of the woodwork congratulating the A-list pairing on the news, but nobody was more excited than J.Lo herself -- especially because she reportedly didn't see it coming.
"Jennifer is ecstatic and so are their families and friends," an insider told People. "Very few people knew Alex planned on proposing. It was very much a surprise for Jennifer. It was just how Alex wanted it."
When the couple posted their dual-Instagrams revealing their engagement, stars flooded the comments section. One of the best reactions came from talk show host Ellen DeGeneres who wrote, "Yes. I'll be your Maid of Honor."
Ryan Seacrest was also elated at the news, writing, "Congrats JLo and ARod!" as was Andy Cohen, who commented "SUPERCOUPLE" on the Instagram post.
Other stars who publcily reacted to the news were Lopez's "World of Dance" co-stars Jenna Dewan and Derek Hough, as well as Heidi Klum, Paris Hilton, Gwen Stefani, Selma Blair and Hoda Kotb, all of which were captured by Comments by Celebs in the second slide of the Instagram post below.

Rodriguez popped the question to Lopez with a reported $1.4 million, 15-carat ring during their couple's trip to the Bahamas, which the People source called "very fitting" because the tropical locale "has always been very special to them."
"Very early on in their relationship, they snuck away to the Bahamas to get to know each other in privacy," the insider explained.
The couple reportedly has "no wedding plans yet" and will "enjoy their engagement for a few days before they head back to work."
Surely, they'll also be celebrating taking their relationship to the next level with their children, who have all become very close: Lopez shares twins Max and Emme, 11, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Rodriguez is father to daughters Ella, 10, and Natasha, 14, who he had with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.
