Jim Carrey throws the book at Manafort judge in latest political artwork

Jim Carrey didn’t go light in his judgment with his latest political cartoon.

Actor-artist Carrey unveiled a new piece on Friday, this time taking aim at T.S. Ellis III, a judge presiding in the case of former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.

Carrey’s rendition of Ellis included the words “Hon? T.S. Ellis,” an apparent questioning of Ellis’ “honorable” status.

Carrey’s message accompanying the artwork was even more to the point.

“Wow! America’s courts are becoming as questionable as it’s [sic] new 3rd world government,” Carrey wrote.

The latest artwork came after Ellis sentenced Manafort to less than four years in prison for financial fraud convictions, per CNN.

Manafort faced more than two decades in prison, a sentence that Ellis deemed “excessive,” according to the Washington Post.

The sentence was criticized by a number of people, including MSNBC legal correspondent Ari Melber, who called it “a reminder of the blatant inequities in our justice system that we all know about, because they reoccur every week in courts across America” in a tweet on Thursday.
