Updated

While March officially kicks off the start of Women's History Month, today people are celebrating International Women's Day all over the globe.

From musicians to politicians and actors, social media is flooding with messages and pictures of support to stand with the badass women that shape our earth.

Gisele Bündchen took to Instagram to share a sweet photo alongside her mother and five sisters writing, "We are all so different, but we complement one another, and we help each other grow! As women we are naturally empathetic, loving and caring. We nurture life! Today and every day, I celebrate all women. Let’s support and lift each other up! We are stronger when we are together."

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton also posted words of wisdom, both recognizing the limitless future that young girls hold --in the political office and in general.

Sophia Bush spent the evening at the Jane Walker by Johnnie Walker "Signs of Progress" exhibit at the New York Historical Society Center for Women’s History, while Miley Cyrus shared a slew of photos side-by-side some of her favorite females including Jane Fonda, Beyoncé, Joan Jett and more.

From Reese Witherspoon to Victoria and David Beckham, check out how celebrities are honoring International Women's Day this year.
