'Beverly Hills 90210' star Luke Perry hospitalized after 'massive stroke': Report

Updated

Luke Perry, who starred on "Beverly Hills, 90210" and currently appears on the CW's "Riverdale," was hospitalized Wednesday after suffering a massive stroke, according to TMZ. As of Thursday morning, his condition is unknown.

Perry, 52, was reportedly transported by paramedics from his Sherman Oaks home to a local hospital.

The actor has been working normally in recent weeks, recently shooting episodes of "Riverdale" on the Warner Bros. lot. He plays Archie Andrews' father, Fred Andrews.

A spokesperson for Perry confirmed to Yahoo that he is "currently under observation at the hospital" but provided no further details.

Just this week, FOX confirmed that it will revive "Beverly Hills, 90210," but while many of Perry's former co-stars have signed onto the project, he has not.

Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestly, Brian Austin Green, and Gabrielle Carteris have all agreed to participate in the revived version of the show.

Perry became a household name and many a teen's biggest crush as Dylan McKay on the classic '90s series.
