Kim Kardashian continues her streak of Vintage Thierry Mugler as a chic gladiator

Did we just figure out the reason A-listers are suddenly revisiting Vintage Thierry Mugler?

From Cardi B's 1995 couture oyster look at the 2019 Grammy's followed by Miley Cyrus' plunging black Mugler suit, the legacy French fashion designer has been popping up more than usual in pop cultures latest moments.

Case in point: Kim Kardashian's python beaded gown she wore for her latest appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." The 1983 body hugging dress was just the start of her Mugler wardrobe binge. A week later, Kim stepped out for the Hollywood Beauty Awards in New York City wearing one of her most risqué looks to date.

The dress? A strategically crisscrossed cutout dress from Spring 1998 that redefined the word cleavage.

Well, we finally got some answers when the KKW beauty mogul jet set to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts on Monday for the pre-opening of an exhibition honoring the 40 year history of Thierry Mugler.

Kim took to her Instagram stories to share two bold vintage looks she wore to the VIP opening. First up was a one-shouldered Grecian gown featuring a bodice of gold armor (think Troy meets Athena). Next, was a white sculpted mini dress with a bust-baring corset styled with conceptual armbands.
