Oscars 2019: Lady Gaga channels Audrey Hepburn in Alexander McQueen

Updated

Gaga goes glam!

Lady Gaga showed up to the 91st Academy Awards on Sunday paying homage to the late Audrey Hepburn wearing a black conceptual gown by Alexander McQueen. Her Holly Golightly long black gloves and old Hollywood up-do channeled the 1961 Oscar-winning film "Breakfast at Tiffany's" with every element of glamour.

The best part? Her 141-year-old Tiffany Diamond necklace which marked the first time in history that the 128.54 carat piece has graced an awards show red carpet.

Hepburn last wore the Tiffany Diamond in a necklace for the "Breakfast at Tiffany’s" publicity photo shoot.

This isn't the first time the "A Star is Born" actress tributed a late Hollywood icon. Gaga stunned in a periwinkle Valentino gown to the 2019 Golden Globes, which mirrored Judy Garland's 1954 dress, who played the original lead in the movie.

Lady Gaga makes Oscars history as the first person to be nominated for Best Actress and Best Original song in the same year.
