Oscars 2019: Best Actress nominee Melissa McCarthy arrives in a jumpsuit and cape

Updated

Amid a sea of gowns and tulle, Melissa McCarthy exuded sophistication on the 2019 Oscars red carpet.

Up for one of the biggest awards of the night -- Best Actress in a Leading Role, for "Can You Ever Forgive Me?" -- it's McCarthy's night to shine, and she did it in a sleek black-and-white Brandon Maxwell ensemble featuring a floor-length cape.

On her arm was husband and co-star Ben Falcone, who kept things classic in a black tux.

Shop a near-identical look from Brandon Maxwell with this silk blouse and these wide-leg pants.

The star finished her look with swept-back hair and a pink lip.

This is McCarthy's first Best Actress nomination. In 2012, she snagged a Best Support Actress nom for "Bridesmaids."

Joining McCarthy in the Best Actress category are Olivia Colman ("The Favourite"), Yalitza Aparicio ("Roma"), Glenn Close ("The Wife"), and Lady Gaga ("A Star Is Born").
