Linda Cardellini takes a risk with her powerful pink Oscars gown

Linda Cardellini did not play it safe for the 91st Academy Awards.

The "Green Book" actress, whose film is nominated for five Oscars, hit the red carpet in an asymmetrical floor sweeping gown made from powerful pink tulle and a cinched satin bow -- with a plunging neckline that bared the perfect amount of flesh.

Her fearless approach to the red carpet was a refreshing bold departure from Cardellini's usual dressing. With her matching crimson lip and understated up-do, the 43-year-old actress reigned one of the best-dressed of the night. Plus, she wasn't the only one who got the fuchsia memo.

"Crazy Rich Asians" star Gemma Chan also made a dramatic magenta entrance with her breathtaking Valentino gown while, Kacey Musgraves brought the glamour in a haute couture masterpiece by Giambattista Vallli.
