Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump have finalized their divorce.

The statement added that they actually finalized their divorce agreement "at the end of last year," with the New York state court adding that their divorce case "has been resolved."

The president's oldest son and his ex got married in November 2005 and share five children together: Kai, 11, Donald III, 10, Tristan, 7, Spencer, 6, and Chloe, 4. They initially announced their divorce in March 2018, putting forth a united front for the sake of their kids -- they had already been separated at the time.

"After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways," the said in a statement. "We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time."

Their separation last spring was plagued by reports that Trump Jr. had an affair with Danity Kane group member Aubrey O'Day after she was on "Celebrity Apprentice" back in 2012. The pair reportedly engaged in a months-long tryst, during which Trump Jr. reportedly moved out and prepared to leave his wife. According to reports, their affair ended when Vanessa found out about it and confronted O'Day. Neither party has confirmed the relationship.

Trump Jr. is now dating former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle, and the couple has been inseparable since May 2018. A month later, Vanessa came to Guilfoyle's defense on Twitter amid a barrage of media scrutiny.

"The lengths people will go to attack a woman simply because she's dating Don," she wrote. "We've been separated for over 9 months and respect each other's decisions & privacy. We'll focus on raising our great kids. Would be nice if the press did the same rather than obsess over our pvt lives!"

Guilfoyle now works for America First, a pro-Trump super PAC, and often campaigns alongside her boyfriend.
