Nicole Kidman's Oscars style over the years

Nicole Kidman has been at the forefront of red carpets since the early '90s.

The "Big Little Lies" actress has come a long way ever since her first 2002 Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in "Moulin Rouge!" Just a year later, Kidman took home the same award for her work in "The Hours," where she graced the stage in a haute couture gown by Jean Paul Gauliter.

However, her best looks came in the form of giant bows. Case in point: The 2007 red Balenciaga dress which featured a haltered neckline, complete with a massive bow that gazed the floor. And then there was last year's cobalt blue Armani Privé gown with a front-and-center bow, adding all the drama.

Let's take a look back at what's changed over the past two decades -- from her Tom Cruise arm candy to ringlet curls -- scroll through the gallery below for some major nostalgia.
