Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin: Details emerge on their secretive romance

Did Miranda Lambert meet her NYPD officer husband while he was on duty?

According to People, the country star met Brendan McLoughlin sometime on Friday, November 2, 2018, when Lambert was in New York City to promote her new single with group Pistol Annies, "Got My Name Changed Back." The singer, 35, appeared on "Good Morning America" that day, which films in Times Square -- falling within the Midtown South Precinct that McLoughlin is assigned to.

Hours later, Lambert returned to the area to perform with Pistol Annies at The Town Hall. The concert venue is also located in the area where McLoughlin, 27, works, and he's been known to work crowd control during concerts.

The couple wed a little less than three months after first meeting one another, on January 26. E! News reported that their secret wedding took place in Davidson County, Tennessee, where Nashville is located. Lambert waited three weeks to announce their nuptials to the public, which she did on Instagram on Saturday.

"In honor of Valentine's Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched!" she captioned two photos from her wedding day. "My heart is full. Thank for Brendan McLoughlin for loving me for.... me."

The announcement was the first time that Lambert had even mentioned McLoughlin at all. The latest update fans had about her love life came back in August 2018, when she declared she was "happily single" following her split from Evan Felker that month after dating for just a few months.

Her meeting with McLoughin would come three months later, the same month that the police officer welcomed a child with another woman.
