Megyn Kelly and Sarah Silverman are in a Twitter feud over the comedian's profanity-laced Trump tweet
Megyn Kelly sparked a Twitter feud with Sarah Silverman on Tuesday when she criticized the comedian for sending President Trump an expletive-laced tweet.
Silverman’s initial tweet was a response to Trump, who took to Twitter on Sunday to slam Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who announced that she’s running for president in 2020. In his tweet, Trump mocked one of her key talking points: the fight against climate change.
Well, it happened again. Amy Klobuchar announced that she is running for President, talking proudly of fighting global warming while standing in a virtual blizzard of snow, ice and freezing temperatures. Bad timing. By the end of her speech she looked like a Snowman(woman)!

Silverman tore into the president the next day with her NSFW reply: “No point in explaining how mind blowingly stupid this tweet is so I’m just gonna go with F*** YOU, and also add that you are a smelly p**** hole with b**** that touch water. Eat s***, you greedy t***.”
The profanities evidently didn’t impress Kelly, who shot back, “This woman [Silverman] wants to star in children’s movies produced by Disney. (And just did, in Ralph Breaks the Internet.)”
Silverman didn’t take long to respond — throwing in a tongue-in-cheek plug of her movie in the process.
It’s true! I am a blue explicit often political comedian and also love doing voices for children. I know it’s easier if people are one thing but no one is, not even you! We all have many sides and I think that’s ok. Peace Ma https://t.co/moi7uEBpbc

Ps I’m more offended by a president who denies a real threat 97% of scientists beg him to take action on while creating a fake threat out of at-risk brown people at the border https://t.co/moi7uEBpbc

Many Silverman fans spoke out in defense of the comedian, mocking Kelly’s departure from NBC and pointing out provocative comedians — including Robin Williams and Denis Leary — who have voiced animated characters.
You ever hear any of Robin Williams’ standup? Eddie Murphy’s?
Pretty sure Disney understands that people who voice their characters might say a naughty word or two from time to time.

i'm sure you were just as outraged by denis leary being in ice age and this has nothing to do whatsoever with your politics

Say hwhat now? “This woman” happens to be a brilliant, badass feminist with more curiosity and compassion than most of us combined, and I can only hope my kids grow up to be like her.

If @megynkelly thinks @SarahKSilverman is too foul-mouthed to voice act as a cartoon in a Disney movie, wait until she hears how the President from her party talks.

As a parent I have to be very cautious about the media my child consumes because it can have a lasting effect on him.
That's why I would let my son watch anything with Sarah Silverman in it and will never watch one minute of "Megyn Kelly Today" while he's under my roof.

.@SarahKSilverman voiced the 1st cartoon of someone with Tourettes. It was the 1st time I ever got to see myself in a movie. I literally cried during Wreck It Ralph. You don’t think blackface is bad & gave a man who harassed the parents of dead toddlers a platform. SIT DOWN. https://t.co/68wLwgTQ91

But others agreed with Kelly. David Wohl, a conservative political commentator and campaign surrogate for Trump, bashed Silverman by commenting on her child-free status and pointing out that she once wore blackface for a comedy sketch.
What's wonderful about this horrible woman is that she and her ilk will guarantee reelection for President Trump in 2020.
For that, we thank her!

Oh…then there's this. No wonder Democrats love Sarah so much! pic.twitter.com/0FXn4pybkP

Silverman responded directly to Wohl’s insults.
Sadly I don’t. I love children very much though. Someday if I do I hope they have a sense of justice and speak truth to power with earnestness and humor. But I’d be happy with anything. Even a teeny tiny baby you! https://t.co/dwpLxLL8U9
