Dolly Parton's impressive GRAMMY Award history over the years

Winning eight awards and 47 total nominations, Dolly Parton has proven herself to be a force on the Grammy circuit for nearly 50 years dating back to 1970.

Parton may have won the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011, but the The Recording Academy is far from finished recognizing her one-of-kind talent. The 61st GrammyAwards will honor Dolly Parton with a tribute performance of all her greatest hits on Sunday February 10th -- calling upon a few famous faces for help. Katy Perry, Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris and more are all set to take the stage with Parton herself. Her God daughter, Miley Cyrus, is also rumored to be performing alongside Shawn Mendes.

Parton was nominated fourteen times over the course of nine consecutive years - from 1970-1979. She won the Best Country Vocal Performance for "Here You Come Again," and just three years later her iconic song "9 to 5" won her two awards including Song of the Year and Best Country Song.

After another steak of nominations (eight noms from 1982-1988) Parton took home the Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo for her first collaborative album with Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris called "Trio."

Twelve years later the Trio also won a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Collaboration thanks to their song "After The Gold Rush" in 2000. Just a year later, Parton's "The Grass is Blue" album won an award and a year after that she won "Best Female Country Vocal Performance."

Dolly Parton's most recent Grammy win was in 2017 when she combined forces with Pentatonix for a re-make of "Jolene." The group won for Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
