Ben Affleck 'spending time' with ex Lindsay Shookus again: report

Are Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus going to rekindle their romance?

Nearly six months after the former couple broke up ahead of Affleck's most recent rehab stint, People reports that the exes have "struck up a friendship again and are spending time together."

Another insider told the outlet that, though Affleck and Shookus are talking again, their priorities have shifted away from romance and toward their own respective families.

"He really enjoys spending time with her but his focus will remain his kids and family," the second source said. "I think he's always been interested in seeing where his relationship with Lindsay could go, but there are two people who are very focused on their families and that distance between New York and L.A. is difficult sometimes."

Affleck lives in Los Angeles, while Shookus lives in New York City, where she's a producer on "Saturday Night Live."

The couple first started dating in the summer of 2017 and dated for a year before calling it off last July.

"It was amicable, but unfortunately it didn't work out, partly because of work and family obligations on different coasts," a source said of the split.

Affleck shares daughters Violet, 13, and Seraphina, 10, and son, Samuel, 6, with ex Jennifer Garner, who has played an integral role in getting him back on his feet following his relapse with alcohol last summer. She was famously photographed driving him to rehab.
