It's official: 'Sex Education' is coming back for season 2 on Netflix

The very first time is never perfect -- but for "Sex Education," it was pretty damn close.

Just three weeks after its debut on Netflix, the raunchy but thoughtful comedy has officially gotten the green light for a season 2.

Gillian Anderson will reprise her role as Jean Milburn, a sex therapist who, unfortunately for teenage Otis (the forever-endearing Asa Butterfield), sees normal mother-son boundaries as more of a light suggestion.

Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Tanya Reynolds and Patricia Allison have also all signed on to reprise their roles.

With production set to begin this spring, fans will have to settle for season 1 -- and this "Mean Girls"-inspired teaser, which closes with a very appropriate announcement: Otis Milburn is coming... back for season 2.
