Duchess Meghan 'has a lot of control in her relationship' with Prince Harry: report

When it comes to Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's marriage, it's clear that one of them steers the ship.

Sources told Us Weekly this week that it's the former "Suits" actress who "has a lot of control in [their] relationship," though that shouldn't be misconstrued as a bad thing.

"Not in a negative way," the insider explained. "But she can definitely calls many of the shots -- and not just when she's pregnant."

Indeed, the new details echo previous reports that insisted that Meghan has had a profound impact on Harry's life since they started dating nearly three years ago, with some insiders calling it a "beautiful influence" that she's had on her now-husband's lifestyle.

"Meghan is a beautiful influence on Harry," a source told People. "They both worked hard to be the healthiest they could be before they got married. Meghan encouraged Harry to get rid of any remnants of his party lifestyle. She wanted him to get in shape and be healthy."

One example of a change that she's encouraged Harry to make came when she became pregnant. With a baby on the way, Meghan reportedly "banned" her husband from drinking alcohol, coffee and tea, which is quite the accomplishment considering that "he's been a pretty brutal drinker since he was a young teenager."

"He was always fidgeting and on the go, always looking for the next thrill," an insider explained to Express. "He was a great laugh, but it was always very full on. Now his new regimen doesn't make him the most entertaining party guest in the world, but he's definitely more chilled and relaxed."

"All she did was show him there's another way to live, and he's become a huge fan," the source continued. "He eats well, doesn't poison his body, exercises, does a bit of yoga and is a lot happier."

Meghan and Harry are expecting their first child in the spring, with the Duchess of Sussex recently revealing to a fan of the royal family that she's due in late April or early May. The couple is expected to keep the sex of the upcoming baby a secret until it's born.
