'Roma' actor may miss Oscars after being denied visa for a third time: Report

One of the stars in the Oscar-nominated film, "Roma", is in danger of missing the ceremony after he was denied a U.S. visa.

Jorge Antonio Guerrero has apparently been refused entry to the U.S. on three separate occasions in 2018, according to Mexico’s El Sol de Tijuana.

That’s even after the films producers wrote an official letter that requested the actor be allowed to travel to the U.S.

IndieWire reports Guerrero saying, “I want to think that, if we could find a way for a consular officer or someone in the embassy to read those letters of invitation, one could understand.”

While Los Angeles Magazine reports that the actor remains hopeful he will be able to make it to the event on February 24th.

Roma is currently tied with "The Favourite" for awards, with each receiving 10-Academy Award nominations.
