MSNBC's Rachel Maddow sends pizza to first responders following Fox News anchor Bret Baier's car accident

Fox News anchor Bret Baier says he and his family are doing well after surviving a major car wreck in Montana.

They were returning from a ski trip and driving to the airport when the accident occurred.

After being released from the hospital, Baier retweeted a post from Sgt. Patrick McLaughlin of the Montana Highway Patrol, which showed several boxes of pizza McLaughlin said were dropped off on behalf of MSNBC host Rachel Maddow.

Maddow included a note thanking the Montana Highway Patrol for rescuing Baier and his family.

Baier himself displayed gratitude in the retweet, thanking the highway patrol and Maddow for the gesture.

Baier later said first responders in the Montana area had to deal with over 250 accidents over the weekend because of snow and icy conditions.

A trooper with the Montana Highway Patrol said at the time of Baier’s accident there was heavy snowfall and icy conditions on the road, according to USA Today.
