Jonah Hill is thinner than ever in latest Instagram snap

Jonah Hill is looking more fit than ever!

The "mid90s" director took to Instagram on Tuesday to celebrate getting his first Jiu Jitzu stripe, and his weight loss transformation -- which has been intensely documented over the years -- is evident. Hill, 35, looks happy and healthy in the photo and got reflective in a lengthy caption about his appreciation for Jiu Jitzu.

"I started Brazilian Jiu Jitzu 2 months ago and try and train 4 or 5 times a week," he revealed. "In high school the dudes who did Jiu Jitzu used to beat the shit out of us at parties so it turned me off to it as an idea growing up. But quietly I always thought it was a beautiful art form."

"At 35, I try and get over the stuff that made me feel weak and insecure as a teenager," he went on. "It’s just wasted time and lessons you’ll never learn. Trying to let go of that. Nothing more humbling than getting your a-- kicked by a 12 year old your first week."

"Got my first stripe today," he finished. "I know it sounds corny but it’s pretty dope to jump in and do stuff you’d never think you’d be able to do."

Back in October, Hill opened up about his weight loss struggle in a candid interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," where he explained how the body image issues that he developed as a teenager have stayed with him well into his thirties.

"I think everybody has a version of themselves -- I call it a snapshot -- at some point in life... [you’re] trying to hide from the world. Even if you get success or grow up or become good-looking or whatever ... you kind of carry some part of that with you," he said. "For me, it’s definitely being like this 14-year-old kid, being overweight, wanting to fit in with these skaters and hip-hop kids, and just feeling lonely and maybe not understanding my own worth.”

"I spent most of my young adult life listening to people say I was fat, gross, and unattractive," he added. "And it’s only in the last four years writing and directing my movie, 'Mid90s,' that I’ve started to understand how much that hurt and got into my head."
