Ryan Seacrest calls meeting Timothée Chalamet 'an out-of-body experience'

Updated

When Ryan Seacrest isn't live from the red carpet asking Joan Rivers' favorite question "who are you wearing?," he's hosting his namesake morning radio show, co-hosting alongside Kelly Ripa in NYC and working on his mens apparel line with Macy's.

All of which makes sense as to why he was honored with the Style Icon of the Year Award on Thursday night at the Fashion Scholarship Fund Awards dinner in New York City, where a total of $3.5 million was raised for students.

With awards season just at the outset, we can expect Seacrest to be on our television screens for the next few months. Most recently, the media mogul kicked off E!'s red carpet coverage for the Golden Globes, where Timothée Chalamet completely lost it over meeting him. When we asked Seacrest what it felt like to have America's biggest heartthrob fanboy over him, it was safe to conclude the bromance was mutual.

"It was an out-of-body experience. I literally have watched his work, especially recently -- and in 'Beautiful Boy' I was blown away -- so I was so excited to tell him that and then he recognized me and I lost my train of thought. It was really kind, " he told AOL.

Amid all of the Oscars drama following Kevin Hart nixing his hosting duties, Seacrest agrees that the Academy should indeed, go host-free.

"My professional opinion is we're so close to the Oscars it would be very tough for someone to step in and feel like they're ready."
