'The Sopranos' cast reunites for iconic HBO show's 20th anniversary: All the photos

The head of the family may be gone, but his legacy is shining bright.

Two decades after the premiere of HBO's "The Sopranos," the cast reunited in New York to discuss the series widely considered one of the best in television history.

Edie Falco (Carmela Soprano) and Lorraine Bracco (Dr. Jennifer Melfi) greeted each other with a huge hug and kiss on the red carpet. They were joined by Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler, who played Carmela and Tony Soprano's children, Meadow and AJ.

Sigler and Iler were both teenagers when they first joined the ensemble cast led by the James Gandolfini, the larger-than-life actor who died in 2013, six years after "The Sopranos" aired its hotly-debated final scene.

Gandolfini's son, Michael, attended the reunion event and even took photos with his father's onscreen kids.

Meanwhile, Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts) jokingly flashed the middle finger to the paparazzi -- a greeting befitting of his character -- and a snappily-dressed Steven Van Zandt (Silvio Dante) donned a blue paisley shirt, silk scarf and his signature bandana.

Fellow onscreen mobster Michael Imperioli (Christopher Moltisanti) and John Ventimiglia (Artie Bucco) also walked the red carpet and engaged in the lively panel discussion.

Notably absent was Drea de Matteo, who played Adriana La Cerva the girlfriend of oft-troubled Christopher. Also missing was Vincent Pastore, the ill-fated Sal Bonpensiero, better known by a crass nickname we can't write here.

Creator David Chase is in the process of casting "The Many Saints of Newark," a film prequel to "The Sopranos."
