Golden Globes 2019: Jim Carrey arrives with girlfriend Ginger Gonzaga on the red carpet

Updated

Love is in the air at the 2019 Golden Globes!

Among the long-established couples on the red carpet, like Felicity Huffman with William H. Macy and Nicole Kidman with Keith Urban, one new couple stood out in the crowd: Jim Carrey and Ginger Gonzaga, who are just now taking their relationship public.

The two, who co-star in Showtime's "Kidding," both opted for black-on-black ensembles: Carrey, 56, wore a tux while Gonzaga wore an asymmetrical tea-length number, and they cracked each other up as they posed for the paparazzi.

The couple actually had their very first red carpet moment Saturday at the Showtime Golden Globes Nominees Celebration -- but more eyes are, of course, on the swanky Sunday night affair as it airs live across the country.

While the Golden Globe nominee has made plenty of headlines in recent months, they haven't been your typical tabloid reports: Instead of Hollywood, he's focused more on Washington, D.C., whose powerful inhabitants have inspired dozens of Carrey's not-so-flattering portraits.

He most recently took aim at former Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan, labeling him a disgrace in a scathing caricature.
