2019 Palm Springs Film Festival: Stars shine on the red carpet

The 30th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival kicked off the year's awards season festivities on Thursday evening, with some of this year's major players stepping out in the desert for the celebratory affair.

Bradley Cooper was honored for directing "A Star Is Born," while Melissa McCarthy and Olivia Colman were also celebrated for their performances in "Can You Ever Forgive Me?" and "The Favourite," respectively.

Emily Blunt, Regina King, Timothee Chalamet, Emma Stone, Mahershala Ali, Glenn Close and Spike Lee were also in attendance.
