Toni Braxton and Birdman call off their wedding: 'It's over'

New year, new beginnings.

Toni Braxton and Birdman have seemingly broken up and called off their wedding, as evidenced by their latest social media activity.

On Tuesday, the rapper wrote a not-so-cryptic "It's over..." on his Instagram Story before deleting it -- and every other photo on his account.

Almost simultaneously, Braxton scrubbed her whole account of all photos before sharing just one: "Starting a new chapter isn’t always an easy choice... but ALWAYS choose to be chosen," she wrote alongside the image. "Cheers to a new year."

The split comes less than a year after Braxton and Birdman got engaged in February 2018. Months later, the singer said she was planning a "Great Gatsby"-themed wedding.

In November, just weeks before their apparent split, Braxton told People that there was a good chance she'd be a married woman before 2019: "He told me we’re getting married before the end of the year is up. He’s talking about crazy things. Like, ‘Let’s just go to Vegas.’ And I want the dress!"

Braxton and Birdman were friends for well over a decade before their relationship turned romantic. Braxton was previously married to Keri Lewis. Birdman has two children but has never married.
