Remember Pamela Franklin? The'Jean Brodie' actress' family now runs a celeb-favorite bookshop

One of Hollywood's original "scream queens" lives a much quieter life these days.

Pamela Franklin made her film debut at 11 years old in "The Innocents" (1961), launching an acting career that would extend nearly two decades before she ultimately stepped away from the spotlight.

Franklin was widely applauded for her role in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie" (1969), which earned the young star a National Board of Review award for Best Supporting Actress. Not too shabby for a teenager!

And while it's not her best-known work, Franklin's most fateful project was "Necromancy," where she met fellow English actor Harvey Jason. The couple wed in 1970 and are parents to two children.

These days, Franklin, now 68, still lives in Los Angeles, and while she's not directly engaged in the celebrity lifestyle, her family's bookstore is a favorite of many famous faces. It's called Mystery Pier Books, and it sells rare first-edition books. The shop is co-owned by Franklin's husband and son.

Among the bookstore's most passionate fans are Michael Caine, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bette Midler, Randy Newman and Barry Gibb, all of whom are quoted on the store's website.

Natalie Portman said she could "spend days" inside the shop, and upon entering it, Jude Law said, "I've died and gone to heaven."
